Amos Heller AHPJ4

Mike Lull AHPJ4

The AHPJ4 resulted from a long shop hang with Amos Heller in 2023. After playing virtually our entire model line-up, Amos played a bass of ours that fit ALMOST exactly what he was looking for.

We worked closely with Amos to create the perfect hybrid PJ that allows for a controlled balance between the P and the intentionally overwound J pickup.

Additionally, though the more traditional PJ basses are done with a P-style body, Amos wanted the full comfort and ergonomics of a full-size J Body (utilizing our V4 body shape).

Add to this our specific tonewood options of a solid, one-piece Swamp Ash Body, Bound-Ebony Fretboard and incredibly smooth Roasted Maple Neck, and you have the bass that dreams are made of.

The AHPJ4 is also a passive bass in totality. With the above in mind, there was absolutely no need for a preamp - it just did what we wanted it to do.

The AHPJ4 are produced in highly limited runs. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
