The TLTX began as a signature guitar project with our good friend and Jazz/Blues virtuoso, Tim Lerch. Mike and Tim went back and forth on the idea of creating a more full and resonant version of our TX.
Leaving many laborious details out, we bent the rules. We started with a slightly thicker mahogany body, hollowed it out (with a solid block down the middle that terminates past the bridge), added a 5A Flamed Maple Top, used a Glendale Half-Plate Tele Bridge and Lollar Low-Wind Imperials with a custom pickup spacing and the final result was the TLTX Signature Guitar.
With the addition of a 3/8” roundover and the inherent tonewood combinations it allowed us to get a unique feel and sound unlike any other. This also lends itself to many playing styles and musical genres due to its versatile nature.
The TLTX is available as Tim’s Signature Model (with his exact specifications) or in a customizable version depending on your exact needs.
